Navigate through each step of using your MEPTIDE Quick Pen. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions.
Step 1 of 4
Check, clean & uncap
- 1Wash your hands with soap and water.
- 2Check the pen label to make sure you have the right medicine and dose, and that it is not expired.
- 3Make sure the pen is not damaged and is locked.
- 4Make sure the medicine is not frozen, is colorless to slightly yellow, and is not cloudy and does not have particles.
- 5Pull the pen cap straight off your pen.
Prepare the Pen
Important Safety Instructions
- Never share your injection pen, even if the needle is changed.
- Do not freeze the pen — if frozen, do not use it.
- Change (rotate) your injection site within the area you choose for each dose to reduce the risk of lipodystrophy.
- If you see blood after removing the needle, press the injection site lightly. Do not rub the area.
